President Trump on Thursday evening reacted to Maria Bartiromo’s sudden departure from Fox News.
Longtime Fox News anchor and staunch Trump supporter Maria Bartiromo is out at Fox News and Fox Business after more than a decade.
It is unclear why Maria Bartiromo parted ways with Fox News; however, according to unconfirmed reports, she was fired after the network nixed her election integrity segment.
Maria Bartiromo was allegedly fired for leaking internal texts to the White House showing the network told staff to stop amplifying Trump’s ‘election conspiracies.’
In making the announcement, FOX News Media said, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
The last episode of Mornings with Maria (6-9 AM/ET) aired this morning on FOX Business Network (FBN) and the show will transition to Mornings with FOX Business beginning tomorrow with rotating anchors. Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street which also airs weekly on FBN (Fridays, 7-7:30 PM/ET) will shift to FBN’s Wall Street effective this week hosted by Cheryl Casone and helmed by rotating anchors thereafter. FBN will also launch a new weekday programming schedule which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Additionally, FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Sunday Morning Futures (10-11 AM/ET) will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this Sunday and a new host will be announced at a later date.
FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Podcasts, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct-to-consumer streaming services FOX Nation, and FOX News International and the free ad-supported television service FOX Weather. Currently the number one network in all of cable, FNC has also been the most watched television news channel for over 24 consecutive years, while FBN is the top business channel on cable. FOX News Media reaches nearly 200 million people each month and is also available to live stream on FOX One.
President Trump was stunned that Fox News ousted Maria Bartiromo.
“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business. Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior. Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria! President DONALD J. TRUMP” Trump said on Truth Social.
